January 4 - Helping Daddy!

Happy Wednesday!!!  Thankfully, Calder's lip is MUCH better today!!!!  Still swollen but doesn't look near as bad!  When we went to Atlanta over Christmas, we made a trip to Ikea to purchase some new things for the church.  Since we've lived here, the play area for the little ones has REALLY needed carpet and that hasn't been an option. Cass was able to get some rugs to cover a large area on the floor so it will be MUCH better for crawling around!  The slide is a new addition (this picture only shows a little part of the room...missing lots of the big toys to the left!)  We worked in this room, the Kindergarten class and the Preschool Worship area today and still have a few things left to do!  It was SO MUCH FUN for the boys to be able to "help" daddy at work today!

We have started going around the table and everyone answers the same question when we eat together.  This morning was:  If you could go on a family vacation ANYWHERE in the world, where would you go and why?  Caden's answer was to tell everyone about Jesus in China!  What a SWEET answer!  So thankful for his little heart :)  I think he could really grow up to be a missionary because he is always wanting to travel to tell others about Jesus!  (Calder said he wanted to go to a playground...haha)

Caden is having a little oral surgery to help fix the gap in his front teeth.  We thought it was going to be today so I took him to that appt. and it ends up they are going to do it NEXT Wednesday!  We didn't tell him about it because he gets SOOOOO nervous but now he knows it's coming up...just doesn't know when!  It should be a 15 minute in and out thing so we are praying his little nerves make it through.  He was a WRECK before he got his tonsils out and it was so sad :(  I have promised him this is not going to be anything like that!

Caden goes back to school tomorrow and he is SO excited to see his teachers and friends!  We pulled Calder out to save money and he is excited to be home with Mommy :)  We're still contemplating homeschool in the Fall so I may start doing a few things with Calder in the mornings to see how it goes!  I'm a little nervous at the thought of homeschool!

Looking forward to a restful morning at home with Calder and Bates!

Hope God is blessing YOU so far in 2012!  We are believing for BIG things this year!!!
