I stayed home from church with Calder and Bates this morning. I am still paranoid about Bates getting hand, foot and mouth and Calder still doesn't seem like he would be up to going to play. We had breakfast and watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I was happy to stay home because Calder had a rough night. He got up several times crying really hard because his mouth hurt and his ears hurt :( That was his first real sign of pain. I had switched to tylenol for a few of the times yesterday and think that maybe he wasn't ready for that just yet. I'll be giving him the strong stuff again today just to make sure he stays pain free!
Cass and Caden left early to go to church. There is a guest pastor today and Cass had to have his stuff set up for him and then he is taking him to lunch at The University Club after church! Caden is excited that he gets to go, too!
On their way home from church, Cass and Caden called to say someone was around the corner and wanted to look at our house. Right now. I hurried to get it straightened up and two sweet ladies came to look! We are praying for our house to sell. We would love to have a home with one more room so that the boys don't have to share a room! I love that they love to talk but it would make bedtime much easier and it would help them both get good sleep :)
When they left, we decided to all go on a bike ride! It was a beautiful day so why not take advantage of it? This was Caden's first time to ride with us and NOT be riding in the trailer! He did great!!! We rode our whole neighborhood then crossed the street and rode around the high school and elementary school. He even went up and down a big hill! By the time we were almost home, he said he was too tired and didn't know if he would make it. Of course, he did. We love to ride bikes together and I'm thankful that our kids seem to enjoy it, too! Bates just smiled and enjoyed his ride and Calder tried to make sure his Elmo slippers could see outside of the trailer :) I think it was nice for Calder to get outside for a little bit!

Then, we took showers and headed to church then McAlister's for dinner! We LOVE the kids eat free nights and the boys have a blast! Caden had a little meltdown at church over not wanting to share his Alabama hat with Calder and kicked and screamed the whole way to the car. NOT good 5 1/2 year old behavior. He apologized to everyone but wasn't allowed to talk for a while. Hoping he is near the end of his fit pitching :) Calder hasn't started that, yet, and we are praying that means he won't! Caden is doing MUCH better but we're still working on it...and using my Grace Based Parenting book is helping ME know how to better deal with it :)
Then, a quick stop by Publix and free kids cookies for all three boys! Caden fell asleep on the way home from Publix and now they are all three snoozing which means it's time for us to sleep, too! We'll be up in less than 4 hours for Calder's next dose of medicine! Praying he gets some good, pain-free sleep tonight and that his scabs fall off asap so he can get back to normal! He's been a great patient but he is ready to be able to eat what he wants to again and not have to drink constantly :)
