My parents have a cabin in Wears Valley,TN and they are gracious and share with us and many others who need some time away from home! We went Memorial Day weekend for a 5day trip and had SO much fun! They bought us season passes to Dollywood this year and we went every night around 5 and stayed until it closed. It was really fun to go for just a few hours and the lines were very short at night. Caden has shocked us and tried almost every ride he is tall enough to ride! He doesn't like most of the big ones but he does give them all a try! Calder is a little more skeptical of them all. He stands with me and Bates unless he knows he is safe :)
The first night we were there! They slept downstairs in Mimi and Poppy's bed. They usually sleep on a pull-out sofa in the loft so they thought they were all big sleeping in a room all alone up there!Daddy snuggling with them before bed!
Sily faces!
Bates was just hanging out while we all got ready to go! He is in the first bubble I ever made (and probably the last). If you look up close it is pitiful!
Love to see his little legs :)
Calder giving him kisses!
Caden and Cass on the log rie! There were not any seatbelts and if you look closely, you can tell that Caden is pretty much on top of Cass! He didn't like it but he sure does talk about it a lot!
This was a super fun ride that you get really wet on! They LOVED it! I think they rode three times!
Daddy and the big boys after riding river battle. They wer really wet!!
Getting a drink in the wagon. We were stopped over 100 times and asked where we got it! It is pretty neat because it folds up pretty flat and will fit in any trunk. I have found it to be easier to get around stores with it and they used it every day in the park!
Mommy and Bates at Dollywood!! It was HOT that day!
The boys were not big fans of this one, either. They were both soaked and cold when it ended.
We tried to get Calder to ride this but he really didn't want to. It is Caden's favorite ride! He calls it the airplane but it just goes up and drops you several times!
All Calder really wanted to do was ride the train. The first time we went the he was motion sick and threw up as soon as we got off so he really enjoyed riding this time! He ended up falling asleep at the end, but he had a blast!
Daddy and the big boys on the train! (Bates was attached to me pretty much the whole time)
On the Veggie Tales roller coaster!
Checking out the donuts!
I am more of a cake donut type person so I got one for myself :)..and these are the ones the boys ended up eating!
Bates just relaxed while we all ate breakfast!
Caden found a dandelion to blow!
For some reason, it was hard to do!
I love that you can see his little tooth in this picture!
They also LOVE to watch people make pottery up there! Caden could sit for hours and watch, literally. This was at Altewine Pottery in Gatlinburg. My favorite is Pigeon River Pottery in Pigeon Forge.
We keep a little riding toy up there that Caden rode so we took Calders motorcycle and let Bates try it out! He LOVED it! SO fun!
Daddy and Bates relaxing on the porch!
We talked Calder into trying this ride just one time...
He HATED it and his little bottom lip went out the first drop. The lady asked me if she needed to stop it but we had him keep it up. Cass and the lady on the other side of Calder tried to cheer him up but I don't think he will be riding it again anytime soon!
Calder has become obsessed with is little lovie he won last time we went to Dollywood and Mimi and Poppy gave them money to spend this trip to he used some of his to play the duck game and win another one! Thankfully, everyone is a winner!
Looking to see if he won!
Choosing his prize...it was a hard choice for him...
He chose the cow!!
The first thing he did was feed his cow popcorn!
Bates rode his first ride in the kiddie section...and loved it! I had to beg for them to let him ride but they let him!
On the porch before we left.
Our three precious angels!
I think these are some of my favorite shirts I have made!
We are SO blessed to have our boys and it is SO much fun to watch them grow up and learn to love each other and all of the people around them. What a huge task to know that they are watching our every move. I pray each day that they can learn to be like Jesus and live a life that is pleasing to Him! My prayer is that they choose to follow Jesus at a young age and lead others to Him throughout their lives!
What happy brothers!
Love Bates little smile!
