We went to Birmingham today for the boy's 6 month, 3 year and 5 year checkups. I was thinking it wouldn't be fun because of shots so Cass came along. Since the tornado took out our Hobby Lobby, it has been harder to find supplies for church so we made a Hobby Lobby trip out of it, too!
The boys did GREAT at the dr.! We are so impressed! I actually think I could have done it alone.
Bates was 14 lbs., 26 3/4 inches and his head was 17 3/8". He got his DTaP, Hib, Prevnar, Hep B and Rotovirus.
Calder was 30 lbs., 36 3/4 inches and did great on his vision test (except one of the pictures on the test was of a phone - like we had when we were little - and he didn't know what it was!!! TOO funny!) He didn't have to have any shots and started clapping and saying good job, Calder when he found out! He was in 25th percentile for weight and height!
Caden was 38 lbs., 42 1/4 inches tall, vision was 20/30 and did perfect on his hearing test! His blood pre. was 107/60. He had to get his DTaP, IPV, MMR, and Varivax shots. He tried SOOOO hard not to cry but just couldn't hold back the tears. He was super tough and did great!!! I was really proud of him.
Calder told my mom after we left that only the big one and the little one had to get shots. TOO funny! I'm sure he hears us refer to them by those names but he's never said it before!
We took a little trip to Favorite Laundry in Mt. Laurel and Caden got a push up from the ice cream man while we were there for a treat :) We had lunch at O'Carr's in Cahaba Heights, picked up muffins from Magic Muffins to have for breakfast tomorrow, dinner at Chuy's and Joseph was in town for work and met us and followed us to Sno Biz for another treat after dinner! If we lived in Birmigham, we'd be HUGE! We love to eat when we go there and always have a hard time deciding where to go...although, we always pick up Magic Muffins to bring back. We had a beautiful drive back while the sun was setting and the boys crashed in the car and went right to bed.
Such a fun day!!!
