Memorial Day Weekend!

We had a fun Memorial Day weekend just relaxing and hanging out...just the 4 of us!
Calder playing baseball in the back yard!
Having some watermelon! Caden making a smiley face!

Watermelon isn't his favorite but he ate a little! I love pictures of kids with shirts off eating watermelon for somem reason! TOO cute to me!
Look at that little look he's giving!

Pound cake we made for dessert! We don't usually eat cake but I wanted to try a new recipe and it was good!
I gave Cass an electric smoker for Valentine's Day and he just now tried it out! He usually uses stuff the first day he gets it so I was surprised this was the first! This is our boston butt we smoked. It was YUMMY!
Boston Butt and ribs on the smoker! We used our Fred's Finest Rib Rub recipe on the ribs and the butt and they were TASTY!
Our tomatoes and strawberries and herbs are growing!!!
Cass ran another race at Sokol Park and after they had a fun run for kids! Of course Caden wanted to participate! Calder did NOT want to participate! Caden did a great job! I took several pictures!
Almost finished!
Smiling the whole time!
And he's OFF!
Look at him go! We didn't know they were doing this or he could have worn his running shoes instead of his sandals!

Daddy finished! First in his age group, again!

Almost to the finish line!
running by on one of the loops!
About to start!
Theboys were eating their cereal and watching Daddy run!

We participate in ALL of the free food at Chick-fil-A days! This was 50's night and you got a free milkshake if you wore 50's clothes! I didn't have anything maternity to fit but they gave me one, anyway! It keep life fun participating in things like this. Crazy how many people won't do it!
Mimi got them the biggest castle to color you have ever seen. Cass put it together and it was MUCH larger than we expected. They LOVED it, though! Here you can see Calder standing in it with Caden's silly bands on!
Caden coloring the door!

Every trip to Birmingham we make a stop at Sno-Biz! They are big, only a dollar and YUMMY! Wish we had something that even came close to comparing to it here...although that may be dangerous! We've gone on every trip to B'ham since before Caden was born...and even though we go a lot now, we still stop every time! (and all you Tuscaloosa people...Summer Snow is NOWHERE close in taste to this!)
Calder loves having his own cup now!
Loving some sno-biz...and yes...that is the dollar size small!
