The boys took naps and Cass cut the grass while I made goodies for the neighbors for tonight! I made a Texas Chocolate Cake and Mini Peach Fried Pies. The boys played in the sprinkler after their nap (and drove the gator through the sprinkler...where Calder decided to drive and crashed into the neighbors mailbox and now has a big knot on his head) then we ate dinner!
Caden REALLY wanted us to get some fireworks so I took him to a place right by our house and got some sparklers and some other little things (that were a disaster so we returned them). He ended up doing 18 sparklers and 300 whipper snappers and had a BLAST!!!! Definitely worth the $4.01 for him to have that much fun!
The family across the street bought a BUNCH of fireworks so all the neighbors sat outside and had goodies and watched the fireworks! Caden didn't get to bed until after 11 (Calder asked to go to bed about 10...he said, "bed, lovie, shoes off.." and went right to sleep! It was a fun-filled day! Love fun days with family and friends! Hope you had a great 4th, too!
