Calder's Check-up Day in Birmingham

We go to the pediatritian in Birmingham. Because of the pregnancy situation, Calder missed his 15 month appointment so we ended up going at 17 1/2 months! We took him on Monday and he had to have three shots. He weighed 22 pounds 12 ounces and was 32 1/2 inches long. His weight finally made it to the 20th percentile so that was great! His length and head are still around 50th. He said he looked great and we could skip his 18 month and come back a little early (in June) for his 2 year check-up! I can't believe we're already talking about a 2 year check-up! I feel like he was just born!

While we were there, we had them check Caden out because a few weeks ago he said his heart hurt and Sunday night he had a swollen eye. Ends up he has pink eye and an ear infection! SO, we left with medicine for both boys (we don't want Calder to get it) and shots for Calder. We're so thankful for such a great pediatric group! Dr. Whitaker is wonderful!

After the dr., we ran a few errrands, went to the Summit, Homewood (Savages, The Smocking Bird, Dorothy McDaniel, etc...) and had a great lunch at Saw's in Edgewood and dessert at Dreamcakes (next door to Saw's). The boys chose strawberry cupcakes with strawberry icing and nerds! What a fun little treat!

We then headed to The Holiday Shop (one of my favorite Christmas stores and memories from growing up) and Wrapsody and Sew Precious! It was a really fun day!

Trying to get a picture at the holiday shop with mommy was tricky...this was the best one we got!
Calder and Mommy! He wasn't cooperating!

This was the fun little cupcake store we went to! It was in Cahaba Heights behind the Summit (and we loved going there, too) but it moved so we had to try the new location!
We got lots of cupcake pictures! Caden really enjoyed his!

Calder thought he was all big sitting in the chair like Caden!

The new BBQ place we tried. It was in Southern Living and their recommendations are rarely bad! I love trying new places and this is definitely somewhere we will return to!
