Easter is a very special day and even though we do the Easter Bunny thing, we do NOT let it take away from the true meaning of Easter. I always want my children to fully understand WHY we celebrate Christmas and Easter and the importance of them! I don't want it to ever be about the toys, candy, food, etc... Saturday, we got them a baby duck that will be living with us for the next 4 weeks! Since Easter is about Jesus rising from the dead and giving us "new life" we got them a "new life" to take care of to help them understand Easter a little better! Caden LOVES the little duck (we named Quack Quack so that Bates could say his name), Calder is a little scared of him and Bates thinks he is funny! I think it will be a fun lesson over the next few weeks and a great reminder of Jesus rising from the dead to give us new life!
