Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2010

For Christmas Eve we decided that each year we will go out for dinner before the Christmas Eve service.  It's just easier with little kids!  This year we went to Outback (Caden and Calder's choice) then hurried to church!  It was Bates first time to eat out!  At the Christmas Eve service, Caden almost caught the lady in front of us's hair on fire with his candle...Cass and I were both pulling his hand back to keep the fire out of her hair!  Haha..it was funny but could have been really bad!
In front of the tree before we left for church!
Sweet brothers!
Mommy and Bates after church!

Bates - 2 1/2 weeks old!

Our tree on Christmas Morning!
Boys Santa stuff! (we toned it WAY down this year..in the past we've gone overboard!)
Cass and MB stockings!
Calder's
Caden's

The boys stockings!
Cass reading the Christmas Story before they went to see their gifts (not from a bible...just a book but it's what they wanted to read and it was the same story!)  We always want to make sure we celebrate the TRUE meaning of Christmas and keep their focus on that instead of the gifts!

Calder listening to the story...ALWAYS smiling!
He might be the happiest kid I've ever been around!

Mommy and the boys in front of the tree!

Hugging (always) before they open their gifts!
Checking everything out!

playing with his train!
Loved their new train/truck!

Caden's big request from Santa was a Santa dress up suit (don't ask why...we have no clue). Mimi and Poppy found this for about 2.00...way too big for him but it worked!

Caden LOVED the legos he got for Christmas!  What a fun thing to play with and I'm sure he will be getting LOTS more in the future!

Opening one of my gifts from Cass...a plate to put on the bookshelf in our room!

Cass opening one of his gifts...a new router to make things with!

Another gift...a cute seasonal hanger our outside our home!

Caden took this of us opening our stockings!

It snowed on Christmas day!!!  It didn't stick but it did snow!  HOW FUN for the boys!!!  They got bundled up in their pj's and rain boots and went outside to play!

Merry Christmas, Bates!  His very first Christmas...two weeks old!

One night Calder came in our room one night when they should have been sleeping and asked us to come take a picture of them snuggling...how sweet is that?  We couldn't say no so here they are, cute as ever!  I LOVE it and hope they are always close!
