Trip to Nashville and Calder's First Haircut!!!

Cass went to the Children's Pastors Conference in Nashville again this year and we went along to shop! Mimi went with us to play during the day! We stayed at the Opryland Hotel and had a fun time! Last year it was cold and rainy and this year it was cold and beautiful! We left a night early because they said it was going to snow pretty heavy (which of course it didn't) but Cass had a great time at the conference and we had a great time exploring Nashville! On our way out we ate at a GREAT mexican restaurant, Chuys, and they are going to open one in Tuscaloosa and in Birmingham soon! We can't wait to eat there again!!!
Calder fell asleep watching the fountain light show before we left town. The music is so loud but it doesn't seem to bother him...he fell asleep last year during it, too!
Some of the fountains...this didn't show up very well...
Watching the show!
He thought it was great! He wanted his face painted like a tiger today!
The Nativity in the Opryland hotel! We were on the boat ride so you can't see it that great!
Tired little Calder!
Part of the boat ride...Caden really liked this!
This is my favorite tree in the hotel...it's 50 feet tall!
Daddy and his boys on the boat!

Taking Calder down the escalator!
Caden thinks he's big riding by himself!
Watching the waterfall!
You can see Caden through the waterfall!
All four of us!
Calder wasn't a fan of the pool so here he is on Mimi's lap watching Caden swim!

Caden was terrified when we first put him in the water...I thought we were going to go through last summer all over again! Cass started swimming laps and then Caden just took off and had so much fun! Now he is ready for summer and just keeps talking about going swimming!

Ready to get out!

Jumping in to daddy!

Calder looks so big here!
He did not like getting wet!

Mimi let the boys ride the train at Opry Mills and I followed and took pictures! They loved having their tickets punched (both ways) and riding through the mall!
Calder looks like he was having the best time!

Riding with Mimi!

Caden the Monkey!!! They had a great face painting booth and we all had our faces painted! Caden wanted to be a monkey and I think he's a pretty cute monkey!
All four of us!

I was a cat!
Cass was the eagle!
The boys with their balloon animals! Calder has a puppy and Caden has a monkey up in a tree!

Checking out his puppy face in the mirror!

Holding his face still while he gets his face painted!

Checking out his monkey face!
Caden did a great job sitting still for her to paint his face!

While we were in the resource center he was on a hunt for Mrs. Pattycake and we ran into Bible Man! He just walked right up to him and let us take his picture! SO funny!
He found Mrs. Pattycake, too! He LOVES to watch Mrs. Pattycake!
Cass had a dinner on the town night and we went to Demos because that was where everyone told us to eat! It was delicious and we really enjoyed it!
The boys had on their digger outfits that I made them and we saw a man lifeter in the cool springs mall so we had to take a picture! They are too cute!
I made the boys matching outfits to wear every day of our trip except the first day. I didn't have enough fabric to make Caden pants, too, so I just made him a dinosaur shirt. However, we left a day early so we had an extra matching outfit. Oh well! Calder wouldn't sit still long enough to get a good picture...this was the best I could do!
Caden in his dinosaur shirt!
Cutie Caden on the bed! He loved being in the hotel room!
Calder's first haircut!!! On the way to Nashville we stopped in Birmingham to pick Mimi up and let Sassy cut Calder's hair! He's been called a girl with his long curls so we cut them off :( She only trimmed it in the back and it looks great but the first haircut is a little sad to me! I'm just thankful that Sassy was the one that did it! Thanks, Sassy!!!
Cutting those pretty curls off! (it's still curly, though!)
I don't think he knew what was going on but he did great!

The first cut! We have it all in a baggie!
